Lower LaBarge Canyon water

I'm wondering if the water in lower LaBarge canyon is reliable for this coming weekend? I'm thinking of spending the night in there and then hiking up Battleship mountain the next day and curious if anyone has been out there recently...Thanks

@sscalzo I think you could be cautiously optimistic about finding enough water to camp out there next weekend, did a little loop on Saturday and observed moderate pools and some very light flow in spots, the Supes do differ greatly valley to valley, however, most spots in a creek bed with some bedrock should hold water through the week I believe, just he flexible, carry enough for a long day and be prepared to abort backpack if no water...

I agree with Lee. There's plenty of pools that collect in the lower box canyon and some that lie in spots that don't get any sun. I would add that you should bring a pump filter-- not a sawyer or steripen. You may have to suck out of some shallow sources. If there's no water at the mouth, keep walking into the canyon. There's couple spots that may still hold water around the corner.

I just did a run through this area yesterday. There were lots of pools, most needing a prefilter first. I found pools after exiting Cavalry Trail headed North through La Barge till it runs into Boulder Canyon Trail. Some of the pools appeared at least 2ft deep. But as others have stressed, water is life in the Supes.
