Yosemite loop

I decided to join a friend of mine in Yosemite Wilderness.
Day 1: White Wolf to Morrison Creek
Day 2: Morrison Creek to the Tuolumne River
Day 3: Muir Gorge and Waterwheel Falls
Day 4: Waterwheel Falls to Polly Dome Lakes
Day 5: Polly Dome Lakes to Tuolumne Peak
Day 6: Tuolumne Peak to Ten Lakes
Day 7: Ten Lakes to White Wolf

Any others ideas for a week loop in Yosemite?

Anybody have suggestions for backpacking Yosemite sometime late summer (August)?

I think I have ruled out the Hetchy Hetch area as it seems recommended to avoid in summer.

One option seems to be starting from Tuolumne Meadows and following the Tuolumne River for awhile. Loops also look possible if I look south towards area near Merced Lake. I am planning for perhaps a 7 day loop and have not made any firm commitments. I would like to stay on trail for most/all of the trip.

I have two suggestions...

Starting from Tuolumne Meadows make a loop through the Grand Canyon of the Tuolumne River. We did this as a shuttle back in 2016 and it's spectacular! You can wrap around passing through Ten Lakes. Lots to explore out there.

Another option is to start from Mono Meadow off Glacier Point Rd. You can make a loop around the Clark Range. This loop will include a stretch along the Merced River. There are options to extend the loop or some side trips.

I would like to get back to Yosemite at some point in 2018 or 2019. The Clark Range loop is high on my list.

sounds fantastic, Steve! i did the Rae Lakes loop and would like to see more of the Sierra. whenever you wanna do the JMT, call me. or, tahoe rim trail. both on my 5-gallon orange home depot bucket list.

If near Rae Lakes, take the time to explore 60 Lakes Basin - Rae Lakes can be overrun, as it is generally accessed from the west-side.
Not technically in Yosemite.... For my money, considering you were requesting 'trail' hiking, I would be suggesting Bishop Pass to Whitney on the JMT (+/-). To cut it short head out to the Onion Valley TH. While not a 'loop' per se, the shuttle, whether commercial or by thumb is not that bad.
My experience has been that it is hard to go too far wrong going ANYWHERE in the Sierras - my sweet spot is the lakes/basins 10k' to 12k'.
Some other wonderful areas to explore are Goddard Canyon, Darwin Bench, Evolution Canyon , Leconte Canyon and Dusy Basin (sometimes 'crowded' at D.Basin along the trail, but head slightly ESE off the trail for some nice camps) .
Still undecided? Add this loop to the confusion ... Edison Lake to Margaret Lakes, down to Fish Creek and Iva Bell hot springs to Graveyard Lakes - returning to Edison Lake.
Remember oil, spices and your pocket fisherman. Seriously... we SLAYED them with the P.F.! Also wild onions grow in some meadows - be on the lookout.
