Peavine Trail

Post by kingsnake »

There's a section in Prescott, and a section in Chino Valley, but at one time it stopped for a few miles near the airport.

They got money about a year ago to reroute around the airport and connect the two sections.

Every couple of months, I try googling for updates and find nothing.

Anybody have a clue on the status the project?

I didn't know these details. I had had reservations to camp at Watson Lake in April. But I canceled them. My plan was to paddle one of the days and ride my bike on the Peavine Trail the other day. But I was going to just do the part near the lake which also connects with another trail. I forgot the name of it: the Iron something.

I canceled because of the weather forecast for the particular time frame. Extremely windy.

@azbackpackr Iron King Trail. Highlight is the old mini-railroad cars along it. :-)

Maybe I'll get over there in the fall. I have so little time off this summer. And there are other places I haven't been, such as Mingus Mountain. So many places to see, and so little time this summer!
