I'm thinking about making an overnight over the T-giving holiday, starting at the Cross F trailhead and going south this time, along the Sunflower Trail (#344) to the Towing yard across the Beeline, then return to Cross F. Then north to overnight on my little mesa on Little Saddle Mtn (#244) just short of Mormon Grove.
I've been on LSM before, so I think I'm okay there. I've watched videos about Sunflower Trail. The biggest issue seems to be rattlesnakes. And since this is the late fall, I expect babies?
I've checked the water reports here on HAZ and on FarOut. I'll take 3 liters just in case no water. So I think I'll be okay waterwise. I won't take a full pack sobo, so at 20 lbs, the going should be relatively easy. (Hah!)
Anything else anyone can warn me about?
Once I'm at camp on LSM, I plan to see if I can find Marion Spring for fun, and make a Water Report.
