I live in North Phoenix, close to Thunderbird Park and North Mountain Park. Looking for hiking buddies for weeknight (except Wednesdays) and weekend hikes. I've never been to either of these parks and am looking forward to exploring them. Prefer easy to moderate hikes.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Re: North Side Hikers
In response to salcock's reply: I work in N. Phx, and am interested in doing some training hikes after work. I rarely see a response to an individual on the main board, so I thought I'd post here, but look in your messages for specific time and place.

I hike N. Phx. I love Thunderbird Paseo Park area....it's not over crowded like N. Mt. Park is! It's also not paved. There's just something about having "mother earth" under my feet that makes me much happier! I'm free most nights except for Thurs. Mary

Re: North Side Hikers
In response to overrocked's reply: Let me know your availability over the next couple of weeks. I have school every Wed night and will be gone 10/23-26 for a wedding, but other than that my weeknight schedule is pretty clear.

Tues. 10/14 would work for me! How does 5:30-6:00 sound? We can meet in the parking lot on the south side of Pinnacle Peak and decide where we want to hike!?
You can make this hike really what you want it to be....easy hike or a work out. I just love being out there so I'm willing to do either! If you want to go easy, let me know.... I'll wearing my Teva's on this trail, but they don't work well for a "workout".
Directions are: From the North 101 loop, exit 59th Ave. and go north, this curves into Pinnacle Peak road, once you curve (heading east), you will go over a hill and at the bottom of the hill is a parking area on the south side of the road. Mary

In response to Shi's reply: 10/14 @ 5:30 PM; you're on. I will be there! Thanks for the directions. My hiking style is somewhere between leisure and excercise, although I need to be more on the excercise!! If anyone else is interested in joining us, please see the message above for directions.
Looking forward to meeting some new friends!! See you on Tuesday.
