Was that you...?

Post by Wiz »

I was out on Black Mesa & Dutchman's Trail on Saturday 11/15, and saw an awful lot of people. I kept wondering if any of them were HAZ-ers. Were any of you out there then?

In response to Wiz's reply:

I don't know if you were around when we had the topic on HAZ Identification, but a while back a bunch of us decided to put either an arizona flag patch or an arizona flag bandana on our packs. So if your looking for HAZers, make sure your looking for the flag.

We did the dutchmans/bluff springs loop yesterday. If you saw a group of 4 with two border collies, that was us.

Matt,
I did look for something to identify HAZers, but didn't see anything. I was reluctant to stop everyone and say "are you a HAZer?". (After all, I AM scruffy and I didn't want to make anyone nervous).

Daryl,
We didn't see you, we were on the part of Dutchmans trail between Palomino and 1st water.

Oh well. I just thought I'd ask.

I was out there with Terricita10. We went in at the 1st Water TH on the Dutchman's Trail, headed over Bull Pass to get back on to the Dutchman to reach Charlebois Spring. We didn't see anyone after leaving the Spring (lots of water) but backtracked to the Cavalry Trail and spent the night off the trail. Didn't see many hikers/backpackers today but quite a few horse people. My girlfriend has a AZ bandana hanging off her back and I wear desert camo pants and matching camo hat.
