Bagging all Four Peaks - Sat Dec 20th

Just curious if anyone here or anyone you know has ever bagged all 4 of the Four Peaks. Its something I'm thinking of attempting possibly next spring.

Hey guys, I'm really sorry, but I'm going to bail on this trip. I was getting my gear together and I noticed that the soles are starting to seperate from my boots. (this is the second time this has happened with my merrells). I just don't trust tramping around on rock (and maybe ice) with a busted boot, and after Pete and I's last trip I would hate to develop a reputation as a chronic boot-borrower...

Sorry guys.

I'll think about you while I'm trying on new boots at REI.

The first one was just so much fun. Nothing like blowing bloody snot for 3 straight weeks.

Is there such a thing as head replacement surgery?

That was a horrible flick. Apparentlly - according to the movie - Zion Canyon and Monument Valley are within spitting distance of each other.

There were several fairly good climbing scenes though. But overall a waste of time.

Mostly I think it is a good look at how far climbing technology has come in 30 years.

We'll let Joe be Clint on this one. Super exited here!! The forecast for tomorrow calls for mostly sunny with temps ranging around 55 degrees at the 7000' level.

Remember, high of 55 is going to be at about 4pm, and you should be done by then.
The coldest time of day is just after sunrise, about the same time you are starting. Expect it to be about 30 degress the first few hours.

The jeep is gassed up and I'm ready to go. Depending upon our pace we probably have an hour of hiking before we hit the mine. Most of that is in the woods so we'll have sunshine by the time we get exposed to the wind. This adventure will be very engaging!

This sinus infection is only getting worse. I don't even think I could successfully hike Usury mountain right now.

Packing my bags now. Going to fuel up the car and getting some food for the trail. Anyone want to Cook some hotdogs afterwords? I have a mini-weber gas grill I can bring.

Thanks to all who went! I had a great time.

AK, thanks for organizing it and getting permission to shortcut through the mine area. Thanks to Joe for rescuing my cap that was snatched away by some rowdy bushes.

I want to thank those who planned ahead to provide fermented malted grain beverage at the end of the hike. After yesterday's adventure I don't think the second Four Peaks was do-able the same day. The hot dogs were great too, best I've ever had!

First off let me say that Pete Fredricks is not human. Congratulations for being the only one to finish the trek. Secondly this was THE most difficult and scariest trek I've ever been on. I can't call this a hike due to all of the climbing involed. But in all it was great to get up there and challenge myself on terrain that was unreal. If I go again it will be with Sidhayes's cape on!

Thanks to all that attended this trek. It was the perfect group! Nobody complained everybody helped eachother. Hope to hike with you guys again.

Hey All, like we discussed Joe setup a FTP Server for us to exchange pics. If i remeber correctly Tim, Kenny, Aaron and i had digital cameras. If i forgot anyone, and they want me to include thier pics on a CD PM me and i will send you the directions on FTP.

For those i mentioned above i will send you directions in a little bit.

Once i get these together i will put them all on a disk and we can meet for a beer.
