Hi everyone
I moved to Tucson about a week ago, and I'm looking to learn the hidden climbing hikes only you locals would know! I've explored a bit alone, going up Picacho Peak, Romero Pools, a little up in Rincon and the Catalinas, but I'm looking to explore even further. I'm into less walking and more climbing/goat stepping. I'm pretty quick, but pause every now and then for photos. I'd like to venture out early Sunday: any takers? If not, any personal preferences? I'm in Oro Valley, but don't mind a short trip.

YOU MAY WANT TO TRY BATTLESHIP MOUNTAIN IN THE SUPERSTITIONS JUST EAST OF PHEONIX OFF OF THE 60 NEXT TO APACHE JUNCTION. BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO HIKE A PRETTY FLAT TRAIL FOR A GOOD 4 AND HALF MILES TIL YOU REACH IT. BUT ONCE YOU REACH IT THERE IS SEVERAL OF BOULDERING OBSTACLES ON THAT MOUTNAIN. IT WAS VERY FUN, NOTHING TOO HARD AS YOU DONT NEED ANY TECHNICAL EQUIPTMENT, BUT GOOD SKILL IN FOOT AND HAND PLACEMENT. I DID THIS ONE LAST WEEK...CHECK OUT THE HIKE DESCRIPTION ON THIS WEBSITE FOR MORE DETAILS...

Pusch Peak is an awesome climb. You'd have to start early this time of year, but it's one to put on your short list. See the description on this site.
