Remote Desert

Where would you guys say is the most remote place in Arizona thats desert. People alot of times talk about remote places in arizona but most of the time there at higher altitudes. Where is the most remote area in the desert?

I consider desert to be more remote than the higher elevations, else why would they call it desert, which means "deserted".
Anyway the Cabeza Prieta Desert and Wilderness are supposedly very remote.

I am looking for a place where you can just start walking any not see anybody so i guess you could kinda say hetting lost but i would always know where i am. But i just whant to be at lower altitudes in the desert.

Kofa foothills (in and around) and probably most of the border range along Devils Highway. Take a weapon and a heck of a lot of water ....

Google it. It's a beautiful area home to an awful lot of drug traffic, unfortunately.

I wasn't trying to be pugnacious, BTW...just telling it like it is.

I looked it up and is part of it on The berry M Goldwater bombing range?

Hmmm...well, technically. But not really. It's a remote stretch of desert highway with some neat things to see along its course and a lot of unofficial trails radiating away from its pullouts. It's hot, its extremely remote, and its definitely low desert at its finest...

Parts of it towards Yuma skirts the Goldwater range. It is very remote, but I wouldn't consider it the most. You'll probably see border patrol everyday out there if nobody else.

I agree, has to be the Kofa or Goldwater Range. Take a gun, like he said. Drug trafficker territory.

On the other hand, haven't been there, but the Arizona Strip area is pretty remote. It's high desert. I'm talking about about the area north of the Grand Canyon, but south of the Utah border, around Mt. Trumball. Polygamist territory.

The most remote--I'm not telling-- ;) I really don't know, depends on what you want. You can certainly hike in the Cabeza Prieta area and not see anyone all day if you want. I've solo hiked, jeeped a bit of that area and never had any trouble and don't carry a gun in my pack.
Az strip has some long drives to nowhere. And you can certainly take several days of walks there and see no one.
Also, a certain low desert mountain range home to the jaguar has some pretty difficult access and again, you might see no one all day.
