Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
I just got back in town yesterday. I was backpacking in Grand Canyon for 6 days. I changed to interested, because I'm not sure about the 16th.

Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
I just found out that I can't do it the 16th. Got family coming to town. The 8th is also looking pumpkined because of school stuff. I can do it the weekend of the 23rd or we can reschedule or y'all can rock and roll and do it.
Bob, my roommate probably wants to go if you're going to drive down early Saturday the 16th if the hike is still going on.
Maybe this thread will be as long as the 'Hiking-While-Nude' thread?
Anyways, we can always do this the next week or in the fall. Or we could do the Sixshooter-Icehouse loop in the Pinals, and that is one that I definitely want to do this year.

Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
well what works for everyone? i don't mind a bit of heat... i've had worse than temperatures in May while in the middle of the Superstitions. I'm down for the week after the 16th if that helps. if there is a change of location and it's interesting, let us know.

Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
23rd is Memorial day weekend. How will the crowds be? I'm guessing the further we get from the TH, the crowds will thin. What about traffic on a holiday weekend?

DOA. There are just too many conflicts. I'll definitely be putting something up for the fall. Probably around mid-October

Re: Catalina State Park to the ski area in March?
I'm bummed that this trip didn't work out, but between my school commitments, people being injured, family coming to town, etc. it just wasn't in the cards.
I'm looking at these hikes for the rest of the year (among others):
Catalina State Park to the top of Mount Lemmon
Sixshooter-Icehouse loop in the Pinals
I NEED to get to the Galiuros
Mount Baldy summit
Humphrey's Peak summit
