I am doing this hike on Oct. 24. I hoped to camp out Fri. and Sat. night at Locket Meadow but it was closed. Does anybody know other camping nearby? I am hoping to cruz down and have beer and dinner close to the inner basin trailhead.
Also, are the junctions well marked--its just Inner Basin to Weatherford (sp?), right? Or is there any other transition? Up the basin, the leftish to Agassiz then to Hump. Is there snow on the top?

You can camp anywhere along the road in if you don't mind "roughing" it.

All junctions are well-signed. Inner Basin to Weatherford to Humphrey's Trail. No snow up there right now, and no precipitation in the forecast before the 24th (if you trust Weather.com's 10-day forecast).
