Cross Country Ski with me?

Post by azbackpackr »

Anyone who wants to come up here and learn to cross country ski, or already knows how, I'm looking for pals to ski with. I'm free all day on Sundays, and on Sat. I'd have to be home by 3 p.m. because I have to be at work at 4. On weekdays I'm free between 8:30 and 1, have to be at work by 1:45.

Skis can be rented in Eagar at the Sweat Shop, at Sunrise at the General Store, or in Alpine at the gas station.

Pole Knoll is going to thin out later this week, although the inner trails such as Summit will still be ski-able, but the Pole Knoll loop is going to have bare spots. Up by Baldy foothills (park at gated off area on 273, near Sunrise) it holds the snow a lot better. I'm told that Williams Valley ski area near Alpine, and Hannagan Meadow are good.

Carpool from Basha's in Eagar. You drive, I'll teach you to ski.
