To all the Flag locals:
How far down on the Humphreys summit trail can one expect to hit snow? I expect there's still a substantial amount, given this year's winter. I'm hoping there is some, since I'm looking for a place to teach someone basic crampon/ice axe travel and self-arrest in a pretty controlled and accessible environment. Not looking to summit the peak or anything, just need some moderately angled snow to practice on. If there's a better area to do this right now, I'm all ears, but it was the first I could think of. Thanks in advance,
-Scott

Re: Current Humphreys Trail conditions
You no longer have the right conditions to practice. Even with the snow that probably extends pretty far down, it's melted and stuff is sticking out.

Yeah, I was a bit worried about that. Bummer. Thanks for the heads-up, though
