Hiking Underwear

Post by Pythor Sen »

Seriously. I've had a few chafing episodes, especially when I get a little sweaty. Does anyone have any recommendations for good drawers for warmer hikes? boxers? briefs? boxer-briefs? something else? My brother said he wears spandex biker shorts under his pants. Haven't tried that, but I may just give it a shot. Any other ideas?

You may not necessarily want compression shorts. I wear some bicycle-style spandex shorts (under my outer shorts, thank you) that don't have padding on longer outings, and some cheap-o thin spandex shorts I got at Sports Authority for shorter trips. Eliminates chafing, and makes me feel oh so sexy.

Another option is SportShield or BodyGlide in those chafing prone areas.
