Flag on Squaw Peak

Post by GTG_AZH »

Anyone happen to see the huge flag up on Squaw Peak today?
It's HUGE, on the SW face.

Just now saw it on the news. Cool! They obviously didn't carry it up in their hip pocket.

One of my coworkers took some photos of it this morning and one is posted our our intranet. I'll see if I can get them from him, or get him to post them. He's not a HAZ member yet, but his cousin is.

My coworker, Victor, was kind enough to send me the photos he took yesterday morning on Squaw Peak. Enjoy!

Wow, anyone know how it got there? From the picture it looks about 30' X 50'! That thing must have cost a few bucks and has to be pretty heavy and awkward to carry.

Don't know how large it is, or how it got there. Does anyone know if it's still there?

Gone

Post by GTG_AZH »

It was gone as of Thursday.
If it was left up too long the rangers would take it down from what I understand.

I'm pretty sure it's I-fly-V-F-R

VFR is a flight rating?, does it mean Visual Flight Rating?

:)
evenstarx3 got it right. I fly VFR is what I do less of nowadays....hiking is just as much fun, another way to gain altitude for a nice view...and a lot easier on my wallet.

I thought my goofy picture with the headphones was a dead giveaway. (oh well!)
