Hike/scramble partner wanted

Post by Don Graydon »

I’m in Tucson for a month (until the 8th of Dec.) to escape the Seattle dark and damp. I’ve done a few local hikes/scrambles by myself in the past week or so (Pusch, Picacho, and Safford/Sombrero Peaks, and the Finger Rock Guard). I have several more I’d like to try around Tucson in the next couple of weeks, but it would be safer and more fun with a partner.

I have my eye on Ragged Top, Window Peak, and The Thimble. All these outings are hard work but lots of fun, usually requiring some routefinding and a bit of hands-on scrambling near the summits.

Please give me a call or email if you’d like and we can talk and see if we’re on the same wave length. Please check out my triplogs and photos on HikeArizona.

Thanks.

Don

don't miss the Thimble... there is an easy scramble route up a fault (not that exposed wall!) Great Views!

If you want an easier day, but very nice, check out Rattlesnake Canyon (right out of the Sabino Visitor area). It used to be fun to go up Breakfast Canyon then loop over into Rattlesnake, but just Rattlesnake is nice... and right there hidden in plain sight.
