While useing my snow peak giga stove to make hot cocoa the other day at Hackberry Springs, some folks came along and liked how compact the stove and fuel cartridge was and enquired about how long the cartridge last. I place a piece of tape on the cartridge and write down the burn time on the tape. The smaller giga stove cartridge is good for apx. 45 min. to an hour and the bigger cartridge are good for apx. 1 1/2 to 2 hrs.

I have been able to get four pots of instant soup boiling for two people (2 cups of soup per person per meal) and four hot drinks for two (1.5 cups per person per meal) out of one small cartridge. Not bad for such a light, clean fuel source. The conditions were windy on two of those occations and that made it harder to boil the water. All in all, this stove is a favorite of mine.
