Re: Reverse Flatiron?
Joe B has a route called "the ultimate ridge line" that I believe covers the hard part from Massacre up to the ridgeline trail. When you hit the ridgeline trail you would go west along it and bump into flatiron. Not a real popular way to get there but in haz terms it is doable

Re: Reverse Flatiron?
Here's the route I followed in May 2010. There's a big ravine, a fence, tons of cholla, and some 4th class climbing involved. Lots of scree up near the top. Ridiculous amounts of fun.
We skipped out on Massacre Falls, but went to Peak 5024 as well as the Flatiron. All off-trail from the point you leave Crosscut till you get to the top. I'd save it for when the weather gets cooler.
