Lookout Mountain Mountain Lion
According to the "Moon Valley Tattler" (the local weekly free paper) there is supposedly a Mountain Lion stalking Lookout Mountain. I take that with a heavy grain of salt, as 1) the photo of the "actual lion" shows a deep, wide, creek of that type that does not exist within 20 miles of Lookout Mountain, 2) I probably would have heard about it in on HAZ first, 3) Lookout Mountain is many, many, miles of solid concrete from likely lion habitat, and 4) I heard nothing about pet, or wild animal remains, being found. It just says someone saw it and Game & Fish is taking it serious. My guess is someone saw a bobcat ...

Re: Lookout Mountain Mountain Lion
My Mother-n-Law hikes Lookout almost everyday. She recently reported a cat (Not a Bobcat, I asked at the time), but I don't even think that was in the park. Pesky Mountain Lions.

Re: Lookout Mountain Mountain Lion
Friends of ours live at 40th St. north of Lincoln and they had a lion in their backyard a couple of years ago and he said it was a juvenile, so that means it had parents there also.
So the Phx. Mtn. Preserve isn't that far away, it could happen.
