Paseo del Lobo - Alpine to Grand Canyon

A new 400 mile hiking event is beginning on July 8th and running until late October. The event, sponsored by Grand Canyon Wolf Recovery Project will begin on July 8th in Alpine, travel along Rim country, and up to the Grand Canyon in October.

You may sign up for hikes, volunteer, or sponsor the event. Event sections run in length from a couple miles to 10 or more per section. Backpacking is allowed and return transportation and trail support is available.

I will be attending the July 13th through the 15th portion at Sunrise, where the White Mountain Apache will be hosting native dancers, food, and camp ground access. This event on the White Mountain Apache tribe land, and the camping and events, are free but attendence is limited.
