Bin Laden is dead. Now what?
Guess this can go in the "political" thread. Now that Bin Laden is dead, what comes next? Do we bring our troops home? Do we stay and "rebuild" what has been destoryed? Even though he's dead, there will always be someone to take his place. Just thinking and wondering what everyone here has to say.

It's to trick kids or adults who eat meat into thinking that it is meat in hopes that they would like it. Or to get them to try it.PLC92084 wrote:Not being one to hi-jack a thread (this one's already wandering...), I've got to ask:
If meat is so awful, why is tofu shaped into things that resemble it!?

Re: Bin Laden is dead. Now what?
fake meat is sometimes tofu based-- sometime mushroom based or tempeh based also. Tofu, itself, looks nothing like meat.

Re: Bin Laden is dead. Now what?
Just to get this thread back on Track, do you think Bin Laden ate Tofu for his final meal???

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty & well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, totally worn out & proclaiming, "Wow What a Ride!"

Re: Bin Laden is dead. Now what?
On one of our trips to Japan we were dining at a very nice Yakatori place with our friend and his wife.
They had brought us up well on the subtleness of Japanese cuisine and dinner could last for three or more hours.
At dinner one night we watched Yasu break off a piece of tofu with his chopsticks, dunk it in eel sauce and unceremoniously pop it in his mouth.
My wife was a bit suprised to see this cavalier manner in him, especially in regards to food.
Yasu noticed her look and in his best English....Do what you need to choke on this....

funny how people think that all vegetarians eat is tofu... though, I wouldn't feel bad about hijacking this forum topic-- it was stupid to begin with

Understand, when you eat meat, that something did die. You have an obligation to value it - not just the sirloin but also all those wonderful tough little bits.

Good point, because we spend alot of time on the Rez, though mostly at Hopi. The Stillernator wrote:So you won't be doing any hikes on the Navajo Nation then?Alston Neal wrote:I would never go to a country that doesn't drink adult beverages
Ironically now that you mention it, it's something we've never really thought about before since that's just the way it is.
