Highlines? Waterlines?
Does anyone know of any good places to set up a high line, or even better, a high waterline close (+-50miles) to the Phoenix area.
Thanks

Re: Highlines? Waterlines?
Highlining is slacklining really high up, waterlining is slacklining over water, which is really fun especially if your about 20 feet high.kingsnake wrote:Is that like a zip line?

I can't figure out why they just don't still call it tight-rope walking? The equipment must sell better with a cooler name

Re: Highlines? Waterlines?
I dunno, "tight rope walking" (a misnomer if you ever see the sag in the lines) is pretty darn cool to me. No idea down here, but I know Sycamore Canyon, near Willow Spring is pretty popular. Several photos here on Haz of people tight-rope walking up there ...
p.s. Do yourself a favor an watch "Man on Wire". Great doc of Phillipe Petit's walk at the World Trade Center.

Re: Highlines? Waterlines?
Tight ropes don't have slack and are pretty much fixed ropes, they don't move at all; it's like walking on top of a pole. Slack lines move up, down, left, right; this can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the situation. Slack lines are also way easier to set up, more mobile, and much less equipment.Tough_Boots wrote:I can't figure out why they just don't still call it tight-rope walking? Re: Highlines? Waterlines?
I'm starting to see a lot more ads before videos these days. I spend about as much time watching ads on the internet, as I do on TV ...
