Water in Boulder canyon?

Post by jaybird »

I am planning a quick overnighter in the western Sups for Saturday night. Anyone been in Boulder Cyn or know what the water situation in Boulder or LaBarge Box? I'm assuming good, considering the rain and snow lately.

I was in Boulder Canyon briefly, a few weeks ago. It was very dry, but there were some good sized pools of water at the intersection with 2nd Water. In fact 2nd Water was flowing!

I was in Boulder Canyon on Sunday 2/18 and Second Water was flowing still. There was rain in Mesa Sunday & Monday too so you should be good.

If you're only going overnight you should pack enough water for a dry camp and leave the water for the creatures that really need it.
