Australia has some nasty critters, but that's really amazing.
It can be surprising to realize how many spiders are out there. Spiders' eyes are extremely reflective and people who night-hike in the woods have probably noticed them as green dots. Around here, the density of green dots in the woods at night is enough to keep me from mentioning what they are to people who'd rather not know.
