Fossil Creek crowds
Thinking of taking my first trip to Fossil Creek this Sunday, probably getting there around 9 or 10am. I'm worried it's gonna be one big ASU frat party up there though with school just getting out... How bad are the crowds on a typical weekend like this?

Re: Fossil Creek crowds
I think this page sums it up nicely:
http://www.fs.usda.gov/generalinfo/coco ... ecid=72066
But if you do chose to go, I definitely recommend before 9am.
But really, I would try to pick a weekday. In either April or September.
Please note that glass containers of any kind are now prohibited at Fossil Springs.

I'm not sure what my spirit animal is, but I'm confident it has rabies.

Lol. I actually saw that page before posting but I was hoping that only happened on a holiday weekend or something. Thanks for the info. I'll probably wait til September...crowds make me sad.

Re: Fossil Creek crowds
I haven't seen any reports of the road being closed yet this year. I suggest calling the FS to ask their opinion based on recent usage.

Re: Fossil Creek crowds
Sat. we were going to Pivot Rock from Camp Verde and I think the road was closed then. There was a ranger standing there and a barricade, so I assumed it was closed.
