| no partners | | A couple buddies and I decided to run down to Sedona for a little mountain biking as a change from all the skiing, snowshoeing (and shoveling) we've been doing in Flagstaff since December. It was great to be back on the bike and the weather was awsome; low 60's, sunny, almost no wind. It was like summer compared to Flag. One of my favorite things about Flagstaff in winter is that summer is only a 45-minute drive away  .
We parked at Bell Rock Plaza, thus avoiding the $10 fee for a Red Rock Pass (stoopid pass!  ). We started out from the Bell Rock TH http://hikearizona.com/phoZOOM.php?ZIP=279 and headed north past Bell Rock. Missed the crossing under Hwy 179 that would take us to the Templeton Trail and ended up at the HT trail. Followed HT back to Templeton and rode around Cathedral Rock, ending up a Baldwins Crossing. From there it was a quick 5-mile ride down Verde Vally School Rd back to the parking lot. |
