| no partners | | My first plan was a long hike in Sedona, but after a long week, and a long run Friday my body cried mutiny and launched a snooze button attack. So, closer to Phoenix it was. It's quite green in this area right now, with several pools of water still standing, and the wildflowers are starting to take off. All the green makes following the trail a little more interesting in places, but not too bad with the numerous cairns. Unfortunately it also means some of the cholla and cactus are a bit hidden, as Marley found out. Poor guy, he's a trooper- but if you bring your dog, bring trail shoes and tweezers for him. The adventure started by following the guy on his bike with his dog riding shotgun in the sidecar, and ended with a donkey charging out of the creekbed in front of us. Lol, I love hiking, you just never know what you will see! |
