Nice morning hiking up into the McDowells. The parking lot was packed but luckily everyone got spaced out on the trail. I departed from the Gateway Access area and made my way up to Windage Pass. Nice view at the top! I continued down the back side and turned onto the Bell Pass Trail. It was a slow grind to Bell Pass. Once there I ate some food and then came down the trail. That section was brutal on my knees! I was glad when it leveled off. From there it was smooth sailing back to the car. Great day!
