| no partners | | Spent last weekend exploring Haigler Creek. I don't know of any established trails in the area, so I decided a generic trip would be better. There's a little bit of private land to negotiate, but that's relatively easy. What a beautiful part of the state. I could easily set up a multi-day backpack trip along a very old (and impassable) road that heads upstream toward the Young Road below the Colcord Lookout. There's ample fishing and quite a few nice swimming holes too. This was a perfect weekend to visit the area. The weather was cool ... in the 70s, but its late enough in the spring that the Cottonwoods and Oaks had grown leaves. The Sycamores were still bare however. Autumn is a great time to visit here as well. |
