No sun bearing down on me the whole way, with some light showers as I approached Josephine Saddle translates to perfect. It was a bit strange out there though, as I saw absolutely no other hikers on the trail, either up or down! That is indeed rare for this popular spot. However, when I arrived at the peak, there was some sort of hiking club there (maybe 9-10 people). I only stayed on top 10 minutes, as I wanted to get headed back down before them.
Left the parking lot at 748 AM and made the top at 956 AM, for a good time of 2 hours and 8 minutes. I was back to the car at 1211 PM, for a total time out of 4 hours and 23 minutes. Times arriving at certain points along the way: 840 AM Josephine Saddle, 912 AM Bellows Spring, and 933 AM Baldy Saddle.
The flow is slowing at Bellows Spring. |
