Decided to do the Butterfly Trail, then take the Davis Spring Trail to Pictograph spring.
It's quick enough to Davis Spring, from there the trail is very poor to non existant and flagged with yellow tape, but it is slow thru here with lots of growth to work around.
Got to the spring, the pictographs are not the best, and seem not to be visited very much.
Returning saw the black clouds and observed a lot of cloud to cloud lightning. Soon the rains came, tried out my small mini umbrella, courtesy of Walgreens, worked ok, but got drowned anyway because the vegetation was wet I was pushing through. Nice on the elevation gain as it was cool and no sun. Everything seemed more beautiful with the rain.
Water in all the drainages and a few raspberries still ripe and good to eat.
A good day. |
