| no partners | | | Cold and nasty, but I set out to explore the Toes. It's an interesting area, and it is nice that it is close-by and easy to get to. I started out trying to reach the top of the rounded rock, but gave up on that when I could see no clear way to the summit. I Crossed a low grassy area and headed west to see what was over the hill. I ended up at a nice overlook that is just east of the highpoint. From up top I could hear Laguna Creek down below. I had limited time, so I started back. I estimate 2.5 miles, and added in an extra hundred feet since I ended up going up and down several times. |
