| no partners | | Made it to the trailhead area Friday evening to find aeveral groups camping in there. picked a spot about 200 yards from the actual trailhead for camp. Great night, no rain.
Saturday morning was warm to begin the day. Made it down the trail to the creek by 9AM. Hiked and fished upstream for several hours until I made it to my favorite WCC campsite. This site is halfway between the Maxwell trail and the Point trail. I caught several small fish but no keepers for dinner. The rain started about 4:00 and never stopped until after midnight. Good thing it was a light rain. I was able to get a good fire going though.
Sunday, I awoke to more rain. On the hike out I caught and released a 13" rainbow.
This is one of the most lush places I have been in Arizona. Can't wait to go back. The climb out is never fun. Good thing it doesn't last long... |
