| no partners | | It's been kind of a bummer week. Saturday I woke up with a sore lower right back that got worse as the day went on. Have no idea what I did, except maybe just slept wrong... By Saturday night I knew I had a pinched nerve as everything started going into spasms. By Sunday morning I couldn't move at all without all the muscles having a fit, so I stayed in bed almost all day Sunday and most of the day Monday with Ice packs and Advil.
Tuesday morning I was feeling halfway decent again until I had to help my Dad out of his chair and I reirritated it. Pumpkin!!! If anyone knows how to fix a Lazy Boy, let me know, would you please??? Back to bed with more Ice and Advil. Yesterday there was some improvement and today, I felt pretty good.
It was a gorgeous day, with beautiful Clouds and I've been itching to just get out. So I went for a walk this evening, anticipating a possibly awesome Sunset in Papago Park. This walk was not about speed, AEG, or distance, simply to get things moving and see how my back holds up.
I took Oak Street to the Crosscut Canal and then took that South, to a Walkway/Bike Path just North of McDowell. Took that West to 64th Street and went South across McDowell. Turned West again and found a Bike Path than continued West through the Desert to the Ampitheatre up at the Buttes. Perfect Timing as I sat and enjoyed a wonderful Sunset lighting up the Clouds around the Buttes. Stayed for about 1/2 hour taking some pictures (of course, I took my Camera!). Went back down the way I came, except I went ahead and walked McDowell back to the Crosscut, instead of the Bike Trail further North. By the time I got home, I worried I had done a little too much. There were a couple of Hills on the Bike Trail on the way up to the Ampitheatre that maybe I shouldn't have done, but I iced the back and took some Advil when I got home, since I was getting sore. I guess I'll know for sure in the morning.... |
