| partners | | Denny and I hit up the Butterfly Loop on Mingus. Chilly out of the gate, perfect for the balance. Autumn is maybe a day or two past prime(105) to almost prime(9037).
Everyone knows Preston owns the View Point Trail #106 when it comes to oak foliage photography. He still owns it alright, I did't bring home even a hint of justice.
North Mingus Trail #105 was in a cool pocket of shade. The dreaded ascent was a pushover. The views phenomenal.
What can be said about Coleman Trail #108. My first trip left me in the courtesy smile isle. It's still the dawg of the deal. There is little to no foliage "on" trail. There are sweet distant views. In fact, I'm gonna have to say favorite "spot" of the day overlooking #105 with San Francisco peaks backdrop. 13 months ago the bottom end had a little bushwhacking. Ladies and gents, it's seen some recent love boasting a 5 foot clearance throughout!
Gaddes Canyon Two Trail #9037 stole the show hands down if you are an oak fan like myself. Mother of sweet baby turtles it is on foliage fire bottom to top. How did I ever under estimate it's oak presence? |
