Great hike with MeiMei, Byron, and Sarah. We went from the new Tom's Thumb Trailhead to the Gateway Access Trailhead. We visited Tom's Thumb and Inspiration Point. We couldn't find the Ogre's Den after a bit of searching, but we found another potential living area a bit before getting to the thumb. This was my first hike after busting up my knee last Saturday. Near the end it started to feel unusual, but no pain. I think I healed up/am healing up pretty well.

Where Tom's Thumb Trail crosses the flow of this spring at (33.672309, -111.823656), we saw a flourishing of green in a sea of brown. Quite unexpected. Based on the lushness of the growth, this must flow fairly constantly or (at the very least) very regularly. Not sure about the flow rate, but it was flowing well.
