| no partners | | My first time there and it was crowded, there was some Audubon thing going on plus it was a Saturday. Really enjoyed the place though. I'll have to go back on a weekday before it really warms up. I saw Black Necked Stilts, American Avocet, Northern Shovelers, Malards, Coots, a small black diving ducklike bird that I couldn't ID, Neotropic Cormerants, various pipers, Great Blue Herons, Snowy Egrets, Verdins, Black Throated Sparrows,Costa's and Anna's Hummingbirds and Great Tailed Grackles. The Audubon folks also had a Great Horned Owl, a Burrowing Owl and a Red Tailed Hawk. My battery died half way through the walk so I missed some shots. |
