Had it all - sunshine, lightning, thunder, rain, more rain, andSNOW? Yes there was fresh snow near the peak and we were the first to tread through it...
Suffered a minor casualty during the hike - MY GLASSES! Strange how things work out, had an appointment at the eye doctors for first thing Monday morning scheduled for some time and knew it was time for some new frames and lenses. If you happen to see an elk wandering around the Mount Baldy Wilderness wearing blue metal framed glasses, you know where they came from...

Distance = 15.99 miles
TH elevation (East Baldy TH) = 9,394 ft
Min elevation = 9,157 ft
Max elevation = 11,201 ft
gain = 2,044 ft
Mt.Baldy summit elevation = 11,410 ft
(Yes we stayed legal, but lightning pushed us off the summit anyways...) |
