We kayaked along the north shore, from Landing Cove west to the beach past Cathedral Cove. The surf was a little rough, which made it both fun and challenging. We managed to hit a handful of great caves, one of which pushed us into the ceiling with each high point of the waves. That was a real unique experience!
Tons of birds inhabit the Channel Islands, and there were a bunch of sea lions out on the rocks as well.
On the way back we hit up Arch Rock before a little snorkling and a short hike up to the ranger station and campground on the island.
This is definitely on my list of things to do again. There's so much to explore here! |
