| partners | | This was my first hike in Anza-Borrego in many years. Enjoyed hiking to the palms but we discovered that the hike to the trestle isn't exactly hiking. It's bouldering, and although the distance to see a view of the trestle is said to be only a couple of miles, it would take many hours.
Also, I forgot to look for the actual "morteros" which are the grinding holes, or bedrock mortars, where the Indians ground up seeds for food. But, the palms were worth seeing. Very pretty! |
