I wanted to look for an inscription I thought might be near Black Mesa so today seemed as good as any. I was lazy and didn't get to the trail until 7a. The morning clouds were great and I barely hiked in the until the last 20 minutes. Black Mesa trail seems to be the place to find the critters. Last Sunday in the evening I saw a king snake & a diamondback, a few weeks before that a Redtail Hawk was circling by an empty nest and today I saw a desert tortoise and another diamondback coiled in the trail. I didn't find the inscription I was searching for but it was a nice hike on a relatively cool morning.
