It just so happened to snow this time. ALOT. I think it's still snowing. My friend Brandon and I went up Friday morning and drove to the Trailhead #150. We were planning on someone meeting up with us later, our trip was a hiking/camping pack trip. We had packs on that weighed aboout 60lbs. The hike up to the waterfall was difficult with the packs. As we made it up it started to snow. We thought about turning back at this point but decided to go further. We made it about 1/2 mile passed the waterfall and decided that this was where we were going to set up camp. About 15 min later we decided to hike back down, the weather was getting worse. The hike down in the deep snow now was almost impossible. But we made it back to the truck. Our other friend Ed showed up and we stayed the night there. Woke up to even more snow, as the pics show. We started to drive out and it got pretty scary in a few places, but we are still alive. That area was awesome with the snowfall, one of my favorite places........ |
