| no partners | | Another beautiful September weekend! Was a little worried leaving Seattle this morning under clouds and fog but just past Bonney Lake the sun came out along with blue skies. The road up until the offroad vehicle park just outside the park boundary is in great condition. Once inside the park the road gets rougher but it's still not too bad. One couple at the top when I got there and saw lots of people on my way down. Saw lots of bear scat near Eunice Lake but no bears. By the look of it they are enjoying the berries. Rangers were in the lot ticketing cars that didn't have a pass --- I was lucky as I had my national parks pass but it was with me in my wallet. The ranger I spoke with said I'm supposed to hang it up or write down the number on one of the pay envelopes if I don't want to leave it in my car. Mowich Lake is quite nice, there were some great reflections, it was just hard to find a spot to get a good shot with my camera. |
