| no partners | | Beautiful off trail trekking along a creek bottom below travertine cliffs; we located several springs, one would qualify as a "warm" spring, tepid water. Wildlife show was pretty good, a bobcat, coatimundi, fox, birds-some small colorful one, racoon, bear tracks. Access was a very long drive thru the reservation to a ranch that my hiking partner was known by the owner.
The trees are showing the acid green leaves and I saw the first flowers for the season, some columbine and I think monkey flower.
Next day more off trail stuff in Sierra Anchas.
