Cool temps so we decided to get another desert hike in before the heat. Everything was really green with all the rain as we made our way around the figure 8. Trail to the cabin is in good shape and all the way to the spring box. From there the trail comes and goes over to the corral. We both had shorts on but it was really a pants party with all the catclaw and holly oak. Took a break at the corral and from there it's good trail all way back to the start. Great weather to be out hiking....hard to believe it's May
