| no partners | | | A trip along the Great Western Trail. Very remote, very sandy south of Deer Springs Ranch. Started this segment off Highway 12 in Utah in a southerly direction. The trail is well marked until about 10 miles south of Deer Springs Ranch where there is little evidence of anyone else being there. This section is definitely 4 X 4 only. It exits along highway 89 between Page and Kanab and heads for Arizona. Yes, this is the same one that eventually goes through Bull Dog Canyon in Apache Junction, Az.
