| partners | | | Tonight's hike was to celebrate Whitney's birthday (which is actually tomorrow). We started a little after 6:30, and headed up West Loop over to Beverly Canyon, then up Ridgeline, Mormon Loop, and over to Hidden Valley. Quite a few people out tonight, and the weather was perfect. The moon was bright, so headlamps weren't necessary--I didn't use mine at all, others used theirs for part of the way. On our way back down National, we'd stopped at some rocks to get pictures of ourselves silhouetted against the moonlight. Just then, a group of guys we'd passed earlier came by and offered to take our pic so we could all be in one photo. So we did that, then traded places with the guys so they could get their pics as a group too. After a few minutes of chatting, we were on our way again. Although I did get some teasing from my friends about the amount of guys phone numbers I have acquired while out hiking. Heard a lot of coyotes, but never saw anything. |
