| partners | | | First day of Fall Break for the kids, and my plan is to always keep them tired. We had originally planned to do this hike, plus something else, but just outside of Payson, my son puked in the car. In one of my less great parenting moments, I thought to myself "I just drove two hours, we're still hiking, he's probably just carsick." We got started a little after 10, and the kids were both excited and in great moods. We took our time along the trail, and the kids ran around and explored along the creek. We had lunch just past the spring, then headed back. It was a faster walk back down to the car, and we finished around 2. The kids still had plenty of energy, and I think we could have squeezed in another short hike, but I didn't want to push it with my son. I'm sure we'll get some more hikes in while they're off school next week. |
