We totally lucked out and got one of the ridiculously few totally picture perfect, clear days from the top, so the views were completely widespread of the valley and the Whites as far as the eye could see. I showed her the Lake of the Clouds and the hut and all kinds of green beauty! She ended up getting the cog down since she was really hurting, so Tug and I skipped down and had to drive an hour around to the other side - ALL the way around the whole range - to pick her up from where we parked. Luckily it's a beautiful drive, so I never mind driving around up there.
