My annual participation in the "First Day Hike" event at my backyard State Park.
My friend Jeff led the hike today and being an expert birder, this was a birding hike.
Jeff, myself and 3 others made the walk around the pond and down 1/2 of the Dos Arroyos trail.
We saw and learned about many birds, but the highlight was the resident osprey cruising the pond.
Dramatic weather threatened then hit ending the hike a little over an hour in.
I had fun!
